Lice do not swim or fly, so head-to-head contact or infected head and hat, comb, scarf, etc. is necessary for contagion.

Its contagion has nothing to do with poor cleaning habits. In fact, they prefer clean hair to better adhere to and colonize the hair.

There are two types of lice treatment with different mechanisms of action:

Permethrin: the antiparasitic par excellence and recommended by the WHO (World Health Organization). It attacks the central nervous system of the louse, causing its death.
Silicones: they enter the respiratory system of the louse, suffocating it.
The nit box is a fundamental tool for the eradication of lice. It is recommended to pass it through the hair daily to mechanically remove the nits (or eggs).
