What is Trofolastin Scar Reducer 5 x 7.5cm 5 dressings and what is it for?

Trofolastin Scar Reducer is a polyurethane dressing made up of two layers: the external surface is a microporous polyurethane membrane and the layer that is in contact with the skin is an acrylic adhesive film that facilitates adhesion.

These dressings are indicated for the reduction of hypertrophic or keloid scars, recent or old, as well as their prevention. They offer UPF50+ sun protection.

It does not contain any active ingredient but acts through a physical mechanism that increases the pressure on the scar and modifies the humidity under the dressing, producing a correct arrangement of the collagen fibers.

How to use:

Apply following the advice on the leaflet included in the box. Clean the area to be covered well. Apply the dressing on top of the scar following its line without creating folds or poorly adhered areas.
